Jannis "Jan" Campbell

Jannis "Jan" Campbell, daughter of the late Albert Lavern and Virginia Evelyn Harralston Halterman, was born in Sikeston, Missouri, on October 16, 1951, and passed away at her home in Parma, Missouri on March 28, 2012, at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Mrs. Campbell had lived in St. Louis and Lilbourn before moving to Parma 40 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, working jigsaw puzzles and playing with her grandchildren.

On August 27, 1971, she was married to Gary Campbell in Parma, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Campbell of Parma; three daughters, Cindy Reynolds of Parma, Becky Campbell of Scott City, Sarah Trammell of Campbell; six grandchildren, Austin and Nicholas Reynolds of Parma, Harley, Bryleigh, Jarred and Michael, Jr. Trammell all of Campbell; one brother, Ray Halterman of Parma; and one sister, Mary Ann Darrow of Belleville, Illinois. Other family and friends also survive. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece, Angela Sue Byrd, and a nephew, Ira Martin "Marty" Bartlett.

Visitation will be held on from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012, in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma, with Bro. Bud Mays of Malden, officiating.

Interment will be in Mounds Cemetery near New Madrid, with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
