Ruby Inez Curtis, daughter of the late Lee Walker and Laura Jones Walker was born on April 1, 1914 in Ouachita, Arkansas and died on January 25, 2012 at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter at the age of 97.
Mrs. Curtis was of the Assembly of God faith, a retired worker from Inland Shoe Company in Parma and also helped her husband on the farm.
In August of 1935 she was united in marriage to Albert “Les” Leslie Curtis in Portageville. Mr. Curtis preceded her in death on September 14, 1976.
She is survived by four sons, James Jay Curtis of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Garry Curtis of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Larry Curtis of Hartford, Michigan and Myles Curtis of Memphis, Tennessee; by one daughter, Sherry Jines of Dexter; by three brothers, Fred Walker of Camden, Arkansas, Joe Walker of Riverbank, California, Gene Walker of Franklin, North Carolina; by one sister, Esther Porterfield of Salem, Oregon; by one niece she raised in the home, Dorothy Jones Morin; by fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Albert Lee Curtis; by one daughter, Carolyn Curtis Spring; by one brother, Dewey Walker; by two sisters, Alma Hirst and Frankie Neal and by two grandsons, Michael Jines and Tony Dickison.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11 a.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Martin Goode officiating.
Interment will follow in the Stanfield cemetery.

She had lived in Blanchard, Oklahoma for 20 years before returning to Poplar Bluff in 1989. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and the Ruth's Group at the Church. She had worked as a supervisor at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in the Central Sterile Department for 22 years.
On July 29, 1969, she was married to Cecil R. Bradley in Poplar Bluff.
Surviving are her husband, Cecil R. Bradley of Poplar Bluff; one son, Cecil M. Bradley of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Christina Hope Killian of Ste. Genevieve; four grandchildren, Kerry Bradley, Caylee Bradley, Jesse Killian, Cameron Bradley; one brother, Richard (Debbie) Medley of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Ruby (Glen) Speer of Ft. Worth, Texas, Reba King of Poplar Bluff, Penny (Ed) Muniz of Barnhart and Lula (Bobby) McDonald of New Madrid. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lelah Medley.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 2 p.m., at the Second Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Luther Abbott of Grandin officiating.
Interment will be in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Joyce Maxine McQuary, daughter of the late Moy W. Davis and Hortense “Tensey” Farmer Davis was born on June 30, 1935 in Dexter and died on January 21, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield at the age of 76.
Mrs. McQuary was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dexter, worked as a rural letter carrier and was a resident of Dexter.
On December 1, 1951 she was united in marriage to Wayne Howard McQuary in Dexter. Mr. McQuary preceded her in death on November 9, 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Steven McQuary of Malden and Scott McQuary of Jefferson City,
; by two daughters, Sharon Sulzer of Imperial, and Susan Pullam of Dexter; by three grandchildren, Nicole Sulzer of Imperial, Trinity and Tristan Pullam both of Dexter and by five great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents two brothers, Howard Davis and Donald Davis, preceded her in death.
