Jimmy Hester

Jimmy Hester, son of Beryl Irene Burroughs Hester and the late James Victor Hester, was born in Berry St. Edmunds, England, on February 28, 1957, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on January 7, 2012, at the age of 59.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. He worked at Purolator in Dexter for many years until his retirement. Jimmy served in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Dexter Eagles Lodge.

On September 15, 2007 he was married to Judy Kay Warren - Harris in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving is his wife Judy of the home.; one son, James Hillis of Poplar Bluff and one daughter,Kayla Hester of Dexter; his mother Beryl Irene Hester of Dexter.; one sister, Donna Irene Shaver of Dexter; other family and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his father James Victor Hester.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday January 12, 2012  in the Assembly of God Church in Dexter with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker of Dexter officiating.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. at the church until service time on Wednesday.

Lowell Wallace

Lowell Wallace, son of the late Rev. Tom and Maudie Honeycutt Wallace, was born in Muskogee Oklahoma, on June 24, 1924, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri on January 6, 2012, at the age of 87.

He attended the Church of God in Parma. He worked in the steel mill for many years in Granite City, Illinois.

On October 18, 1941 he was married to Edna Whitworth in Parma.

Surviving is his wife Edna of the home; two daughters, Janice Bush and June Evans both of Granite City, Ill.; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; his friend and caregiver; Don Cook; other family and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his sister Flora Salyers and five brothers, Troy, Vernon, George, Jack, Tom Wallace; and two by sons, Carl Gene and Jimmy Dale Wallace.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 10 a.m., at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma with Rev. Jerry Channey Sr. of Parma officiating.

Interment will be in Bernie City Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.

Avon K. Hyten, daughter of the late Harry and Louie Pratt Keith, was born in Lehi, Utah on September 21, 1918, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing and Rehab in Puxico, Missouri on January 4, 2012, at the age of 93.

She had lived in the Puxico area most all her life. Member of the AAM. She most enjoyed Quilting, Reading and spending time with her family.

On March 15, 1937 she was married to Paul Everett Hyten. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1998

Surviving are two sons, Stacy Hyten and Ronald Hyten both of Dexter; seven daughters, Joyce Lowery, Sandra Cryts, Tressa Oliver all of Puxico, Ruby Cookson of Gypsy, Bonnie Moore and Shiela Singleton of Dexter,  and Audrey Keller of Dexter; by 37 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.; by three brothers, Henry Keith of St. Louis, Earl Keith of Madison, Wisconsin and Byrrul Keith of Wappapello; one sister, Jane Tucker of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Seabaugh, and two brothers, Ray and Mac Keith.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico with Rev. Dennis Dublin of Puxico officiating

Frances Ann Montgomery

Frances Ann Montgomery, daughter of the late John A. Lemons and Dorothy Sifford Lemons was born on March 12, 1937 in Dexter and died on January 3, 2012 at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri at the age of 74.

She was a home-maker and a resident of Dexter.  She was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter where she played the organ for a number of years.  She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Rafe D. Montgomery of Farmington, Missouri and Darin W. Montgomery of Greenbrier, Tennessee; by two daughters, Charlotte Riddle of Dexter and Willa Moser of Fredericktown, Missouri; by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one son, John Kimbrel.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1 p.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lester Clayton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Dexter cemetery.

Gilbert M. Faulkner

Gilbert M. Faulkner, son of the late Earnest Faulkner and Minnie Cantrel Faulkner was born on July 31, 1932 in Bloomfield and died on January 3, 2012 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 79.

Mr. Faulkner retired from the United States Navy at the rank of Chief Petty Officer.  He and his brother ran an aviation service, his brother Norman would fly planes and Gilbert serviced the planes.  He was a resident of Dexter.

He is survived by one brother, Sam Faulkner of Bloomfield and by one sister, Donna Ruth Ann Faulkner of Oregon.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl Faulkner, George Faulkner, John Vaughn, Norman Faulkner, Charles Faulkner and David Faulkner and by four sisters, Beatrice Hester, Geneva Nelson, Virginia Merideth and Joyce Faulkner.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 12:30 until 2 p.m.  Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2 p.m.,. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
