Show Choir Sings Holiday Greetings!
December 24th 2011 by Unknown

The young men and women of the Dexter Show Choir fanned out over Dexter Thursday to bring musical greetings of the Christmas Season. Show Choir members sold Singing Christmas Cards as a fundraising activity, and members delivered the "greetings" this week. Choir members sang Christmas carols at homes, businesses and care facilities throughout the community. The Dexter Show Choir is directed by MaryRuth Boone and members are currently raising funds for the group's annual summer concert tour. This year the choir is returning to Branson, where it will perform with groups such as the Haygoods and participate in a theater workshop. The Show Choir has traveled in the past to such cities as Chicago, New Orleans, New York City and to Walt Disney World. The group is also looking forward to 2013 when it will take its high-energy musical performances to Hawaii. The group (above) gathered Thursday morning for a breakfast of featuring pancakes the fixin's before going out to deliver Christmas Carols.
