Edgar Solen Kinser, son of the late Charles Jefferson Kinser and Dovie May Forkum Kinser was born on May 9, 1926 at Powe and departed this life in his residence at Dexter on November 22, 2011 at the age of 85.
Mr. Kinser attended the Lighthouse Christian Center at Dexter, was the owner of Kinser Jewelry in Bloomfield for fifty years and a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War 2.
He was united in marriage to Alma Lee Pritchett at Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Kinser preceded him in death on November 26, 1997.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rick Glen and Pamela Kay Kinser of Dexter: by one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bob Arnold of Dexter: by five grandchildren, Michelle Hardin, Bobbie Whitaker, Anthony Jackson, Robbie Glen Kinser and Donnie Glen Kinser: by seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Hardin, Dylan Hardin, Hunter Hardin, Katelynne Jackson, Isiah Kinser, Lucas Kinser and Katelynne Kinser: by one sister, Louise Jones of Dexter.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Watson, Chester Watson, Lester Kinser, Leroy Kinser and Charlie Kinser: by two sisters, Lowetta McCrary and Thelma Gaines.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
