Bill Shaver, son of Al Shaver and Wilma Wilson Shaver of Dexter was born on January 9, 1949 in Grayridge and died on November 6, 2011 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System in Houston, Texas surrounded by his family at the age of 62.

Mr. Shaver was a former member of the Missouri Army National Guard, a truck driver for Allied Alliance Systems and a 1967 graduate of Dexter Senior High School.

On June 24, 1978 he was united in marriage to Peggy Wiseman in Dexter.  Mrs. Shaver survives of their home in Spring, Texas.

Besides his wife and parents he is survived by two sons, Bradley and wife Caryn Shaver of Sandusky, Ohio and Brandon Shaver of Spring, Texas; by one daughter, Ashley Shaver of Waco, Texas; by one brother, Leonard “Speedy” Shaver of New York City; by one sister, Lynn and husband Ron Newton of Sikeston; by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 1 until 3 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 3 p.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Joshua Carpenter officiating.  Interment will follow in the Dexter cemetery.
