Dan Lacy, son of the late Daniel M. and Daisy Irene Roper Lacy, was born in Circle City, Missouri on September 5, 1938, and passed away at his home in Sweet Springs, Missouri on November 3, 2011, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 29 days.
He had lived in the Sweet Springs, Missouri area for many years. He had worked as an automobile mechanic with the state of Missouri.
On June 13, 1967, he was married to Carolyn Clark.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Lacy of Sweet Springs; two sons, Daniel C. Lacy, Jr. of Circle City, Missouri, John Allen Lacy of Foster, Indiana; three daughters, Belinda Goodman of Bloomfield, Missouri, Cindy Determan of Republic, Missouri, Ginger Snapp of Sedalia, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Annie Bell Hutto of Blytheville, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, John Calvin Lacy.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2011, after 12 p.m, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 2 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Don Hutto of Piedmont, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
