Emma Lou Adams
Emma Lou Adams, daughter of the late Rev. T. W. Bland and Winnie Wilkerson Bland was born on May 22, 1935 at Piggott, Arkansas and departed this life in the Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on October 20, 2011 at the age of 76.

Mrs. Adams was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, a home-maker and resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Charles B. Adams Jr. on March 22, 1952 at Piggott, Arkansas.  Mr. Adams survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Diane Adams of Dexter: by one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Mike Mills of Dexter: by one brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Dwight and Brenda Bland of Booneville: by three grandchildren, Michael W. Mills and wife Amy of Ashland, Matt Mills and wife Marissa of Dexter and Patrick Adams of Dexter: by four great-grandchildren, Montgomery Mills, Monroe Mills, Margot Mills and Lanie Grey Mills: by one brother-in-law, Earl C. Williams of Dexter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Williams.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Joshua Carpenter and Rev. Phil Warren officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
