Betty Reece Meadows, daughter of the late Victor J. Reece and Jeanette White Reece, was born on January 22, 1933 at Townley and departed this life in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on October 9, 2011 at the age of 78.

Mrs. Meadows was a former factory worker for Hawley Products at St. Charles, Illinois and a resident of Malden.

She is survived by three sons, Norman Dale Wright of Rockton, Illinois, Gary Wright of Malden and Ronnie Wright of Friedheim: by one daughter, Deborah Flannery of Bernie: by seven grandchildren, April Harland, Brett Wright, Stephen Wright, Kayla Wright, Krystle Wright, Becka Tracy and Stacy Jarrett: by four great-grandchildren, Michael Harland,  Madelyn Harland, Josh Jarrett and Justin Jarrett: by her longtime companion, Richard Meadows: by six brothers, Paul Reece of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, James Reece of Doniphan, Roger Reece and Ronnie Reece, both of Malden, Junior Reece and Bobby Reece, both of Malden: by three sisters, Carolyn Reece of Bernie, Joyce Garrett and Linda Blevins, both of Williamsville.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 12 noon until 2 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2011.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie.  Interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery near Malden.
