Stoddard County Fair
Fair Parade Winners Shine!
September 21st 2011 by Unknown
A hearty and appreciative crowd lined Stoddard Street Tuesday evening for the annual Stoddard County Fair Parade and the kick-off of Fair Week.
Parade Marshall Maxine Jennings lead the parade that included ten bands, floats from every corner of the county, queens and their attendants. And trucks; don't forget the trucks, because there was a slew of trucks.
The lead band was the Advance High School Band, winner of the 2010 band competition. The Advance band did an impromtu manuever in the second block of the parade, when it had to divide its rows to march around a stalled fire truck in the middle of Stoddard Street. In typical solidarity, however, other fire officers were able to pull the disabled truck off the parade route, with the bands and floats never missing a beat!
Winners of the parade competitions include:

- Advance High School
- Bernie High School
