Laurie Ann DeWitt

Laurie Ann DeWitt, daughter of Jerry Nimmo of Sikeston, Missouri and Margaret Ann Taylor of Morehouse, Missouri was born on September 25, 1968 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on August 16, 2011 at her residence in Morehouse at the age of 42 years.
Laurie was a Dental Assistant at Dr. Leible's office in Sikeston, Missouri until September of 2009; member of the Essex Church of Christ in Essex, Missouri, and a resident of Morehouse.
On September 18, 1987 she was united in marriage to Brad DeWitt in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. DeWitt survives of the home in Morehouse.
Besides her husband, survivors include her father Jerry and step-mother, Brenda Nimmo of Sikeston; mother Margaret Ann Taylor of Morehouse; by her maternal grandmother Alene Taylor of Morehouse; two daughters, Erica DeWitt Emison and husband Brian of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Taylor DeWitt of Morehouse; one sister, Kim Wilson of O’Fallon, Missouri; by a mother-in-law, Linda Dewitt; sister-in-law, Donna Groves; brother-in-law, Jimmy Groves; by a niece Kasey Eiceman; and by her nephew Jeramy Roberts.
Mrs. Dewitt was preceded in death by her father-in-law Herschel Dewitt.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Thursday August 18, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Herman Morse officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
