Registration Continues at Three Rivers
POPLAR BLUFF - Registration for classes at Three Rivers College continues through Aug. 12 for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 15.

New students must register in person and returning students are encouraged to meet with an advisor. Advisors are available to help students at:

  • The Poplar Bluff campus, 2080 Three Rivers Blvd. in Poplar Bluff; 573-840-9605.

  • Advisors work one-on-one with students to help them create an education plan and register for classes that meet the student's needs and schedule. Advisors also can help students apply for financial aid.

Several new pro grams are drawing attention this fall.

    Physical Therapist Assistant program: Prepares students for licensure by examination as a physical therapist assistant, an in-demand career helping people recover from the physical effects of illness and injury. For information, contact the Nursing and Allied Health Division at 573-840-9680.

    Law Enforcement Academy: Offers the 700-hour Class-A POST certification that is required for employment as a commissioned police officer in Missouri. Students who take Academy courses as part of the Police Science option of Three Rivers’ AAS degree in Criminal Justice are eligible for financial aid. Medical Billing and Coding program: Trains students to process patient data in many health care settings.

    Green Diesel Technology program: Trains students to repair and maintain vehicles that operate on both diesel and green diesel.

    Geographic Information Systems program: Trains students to combine databases with computer-based mapping tools for use in many fields.

    Theater program: Associate of Arts program that focuses on the theater arts and includes live performances.
