By Annabeth Miller, ShowMe Times EditorA ribbon-cutting celebration marked the opening of a new business in Dexter recently.

JAG’s Hair Place officially opened with a Dexter Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Celebration. The new men’s barbershop is owned by Kady Parres, who recently moved to Dexter from the St. Louis area.

On hand for the celebration were (from left) Dexter Alderman Jerry Corder, Mayor Joe Weber, Kady Parres and her son Joel., Chamber President Ed Gargas, Chamber Director Mendy Bell, Jeri Morgan-Pierce, Chamber Executive Director Janet Coleman and (in back) Tyler Wagner and Chamber Director Wes Howard.

JAG’s Hair Place is located at 909 Mallory Street behind Regions Bank.

The ceremony at JAG’s was the fifth ribbon-cutting celebration sponsored by the Dexter of Chamber of Commerce in 2011.
