Donald Lee Kitchen

Donald Kitchen, son of the late William, and Laura Brown Kitchen was born in Morehouse, Missouri on September 23, 1940, and passed away at his home in Sikeston, Missouri on March 26, 2011, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 2 days.

He had lived in Morehouse and Sikeston area the most of his life. He worked for Stewart Steel as a welder he was of the Pentecost faith.

On September 24, 1971 he was married to Edna Louise Sims in Dexter, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife Edna Kitchen of Sikeston, Missouri. One son, Douglas Kitchen of Kingman, Arizona; one daughter, Anna (Roy) Ward, of Sikeston Missouri; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty McNew of Bloomfield, Missouri and Diana Wilson of Sikeston; and one brother Herbert Kitchen, of Sikeston, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a Great-Grandaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011, after 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 1 p.m., at the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
