Faye Spencer, daughter of the late Almer Hudgins and Ava Lorene Jones, was born on April 2, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on August 16, 2022, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 74 years.

Ms. Spencer was a former pharmacy technician who enjoyed old movies and tv and was a voracious reader. She grew up in St. Louis city but chose to relocate to Dexter in her retirement to be closer to family there.

She is survived by her daughter, Ava Spencer of St. Louis, Missouri.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 p.m.
