Albert "Jean" Holland, age 83 of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Life Care Center surrounded by his loving family.
Albert "Jean" Holland was born on February 7, 1936 in Perryville, Missouri to John B. and Myrtle Audell (Murray) Holland. He was united in marriage to Emma Hartline on June 11, 1955 and they were blessed with four children, Regina, Connie, Gary and Eva. Jean and Emma made their home in Arkansas where he was employed by the Batesville School District for over 18 years. When he was 33 years old, he surrendered his life to the Lord and became associate pastor at Hope Church in St. Louis, Missouri followed by serving as Senior Pastor at Liberty Temple in Sebree, Kentucky and Batesville, Arkansas. He then joined the Assemblies of God and pastored at First Assembly in Blackrock, Arkansas and Spring Mill Assembly near Batesville, Arkansas. Brother Jean was a loving and devoted pastor, husband, father and grandpa. He especially loved ministering to children. He and Emma made their home in Sullivan in January 2014 and began attending First Assembly. Miss Emma passed soon after moving here. He missed her deeply but quickly became a part of the church where he helped in the nursing home ministry. Brother Holland was a faithful man of God who loved the Word and work of God. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his children, Regina Weaver and husband Harry of Riverside, California, Connie Musgraves of Sullivan, Mo, Gary Holland of Sullivan, Mo, Eva Nelson and husband Andy of Denver, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Cora Chicca and husband James of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Evelene Schram and husband Jeremy of Battle Creek, Michigan, Miles Weaver and wife Olivia of Battle Creek, Michigan, Joseph Weaver and wife Piper of Placerville, California, Jennifer Musgraves and Pedro Garcia of Bacliff, Texas, Vanessa Musgraves and Sharon Fabrizio of Battleground, Washington, Joe Kilburn of Hillsboro, Missouri , Krista Stewart of O'Fallon, Missouri and Gabrielle Nelson of Denver Colorado; nine great-grandchildren, Anna, Makayla, Samuel, Eliza, Kailee, Kasey, Shawn, Olivia and Sean; one great-great-grandchild, Kade; one brother, Paul Holland and wife Nancy of Winnetka, California; sister in law, Billie Holland of Lancaster, California; many nieces, hephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emma (Hartline) Holland; his parents, John and Myrtle (Murray) Holland; brothers, John, Clyde and Boyd Holland; and one sister, Bonnie Lou Holland.
Visitations was held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services were conducted 12:00 noon, Friday, August 2, 2019 at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with interment to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City, Missouri.
Danny Atchison, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his residence in Malden.
Visitation will be conducted on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from Noon till 2 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral Services will then be conducted at 2:00 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie. Interment in Bernie Cemetery.

Mary M. Lawson, 99, of Troy, Illinois and formerly of Dexter, Missouri passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Morningside Assisted Living in Troy.
In celebration of her life, private services will be held at Irwin Chapel in Glen Carbon.
Private burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.

Michael Wayne Dumey, son of the late Elmer Dumey and Bertha Vetter Dumey, was born on October 12, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 74 years.
Mr. Dumey was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Edisto Ice Breaker and USS Valley Forge LPH-8. He was a former educator for several Missouri school districts serving as; a former Guidance Counselor for Clearwater R-1, a former Assistant Superintendent for Greenville R-II and a former Superintendent for Naylor R-II and Bloomfield R-XIV. He was a former Director of the Bootheel Planning Commission and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield. He was an avid old-school outdoorsman; he had a great love for fishing the rivers and streams of the area and his most peaceful times were either in his canoe or kayak. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
On August 12, 1972, in Chaffee, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Sarah McFerron. Mrs. Dumey survives of their home in Bloomfield.
In addition to his wife Sarah, he is survived by two sons, Collin Dumey and fiancé Laura Meyer of Dexter, Missouri and Kurt Dumey and wife Stefanie of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by one brother, John Dumey of Chaffee, Missouri; by two sisters, Rae Johnson of Franktown, Colorado and Kae Harrell of Chesapeake, Ohio; and by two grandchildren, Gabriel Dumey and Thomas Dumey, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Dumey.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Steven Koerner officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
