Chaylea Mosby Signs to Play Basketball at Three Rivers College

Chaylea Mosby Signs to Play Basketball at Three Rivers College

Dexter, Missouri - Chaylea Mosby, LBB's all-time leading scorer, signed a letter of intent to play basketball with the Lady Raiders at Three Rivers College on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Mosby is quite amazing on the court.  She recently marked her 2,000th career point during the Lady Royals Christmas Classic Tournament against Clearwater.  She broke the DHS record for most 3-pointers in a game against Jackson, racked up 49 points in a game to break a school record and she became the all time leading scorer for both boys and girls basketball at Dexter High School during the Border Challenge.  Those records will be difficult to beat in the future.   Mosby has been averaging about 23 points per game as well.

"She's the all-time leading scorer ever in Dexter High School history," commented Lady Bearcats head coach Chad Allen.  "I don't know if there will ever be another one like her, but if there is I want to see it!.  She is not only a tremendous player on the court, but she's is also an even better person off the court and she will be missed.

"I think she’ll definitely fit in real well at TRC," continued Allen. "I think she can contribute right away and just maybe break a few records their as well. It’ll be nice to watch her play close to home."

Chaylea will also play with another former Lady Cat, Hannah Thurmon, who will be in her second year as a Lady Raider next season.  Together with a tremendously talented group of teammates the future is very bright for the Three Rivers girls basketball program.

"I am excited," commented Mosby.  "I'm excited to play college ball and do what I love to do.  I just haven't decided on a major yet, but something in physical education and coaching might be a good fit for me."

When asked what her favorite or best memory of her high school basketball career, she said, "Going to State my sophomore year and I hope we go again this year!"

Chaylea Mosby is the daughter of Angela Mosby.  She is a member of the Sr. Beta Club and varsity softball team.
