In Loving Memory of Helen Burklow

Helen “Louise” Elmore Burklow
Louise was born on October 10, 1925 to Estel Poe Elmore and Jessie Lena Hutchison Elmore in Bloomfield, Missouri.  She graduated from Bloomfield High School class of 1943 where she was the Homecoming Queen. She departed this life on November 18th 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer at the ET York Hospice Center in Gainesville, Florida.  Helen was of the Methodist faith.

Helen always had a contagious smile and words of encouragement for others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helen was also an avid Saint Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

She married Oren Burklow on August 28th 1944.  They had three children.  She was proceeded in death by her husband Oren in January 2000 and her youngest child William in May 2009. 

Helen leaves behind her sister Shirley (Avery) Haney of Puxico, Missouri; son Phillip (Susan) Burklow of Lambertville, Michigan; daughter Malea (Paul) Zwick of Gainesville, Florida.  Her grandsons Jeffery (Robin) Burklow of Roundlake, Illinois; Bradley Burklow of Missoula, Montana; Garrett Burklow of Austin, Texas; and her great granddaughters Arizona, Maisy, and Liberty Burklow of Roundlake, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM Saturday November 26th at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. 

Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Chapel with Pastor Alice Fowler.  Burial will be in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
