Carl Hester, son of the late Charles L. and Eva Lena Stevens Hester, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on February 7, 1925, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on January 22, 2016, at the age of 90 years.

He had lived in St. Charles, Poplar Bluff, Essex & Dexter; and had lived in Bloomfield for many years. He had worked for the State Fire Marshall and was an state fire inspector. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, V.F.W., and the American Legion.

On September 5, 1989 he was married to Frances Arlene Pullum in Piggott, Arkansas.

Surviving are his wife, Frances A. Hester of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons, Robert and Larry Hester both of St. Louis, Missouri; two step-sons, Allen Bolin of Bloomfield, Windy Bolin of Circle City; three step-daughters, Kim Johnson of Bloomfield, Kay Robbins of Bell City, Stephanie Robinson of Dexter; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Munday of St. Charles, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wayne, Ralph & Paul Hester; 5 sisters, Agnes Followell, Juanita Murdock, Opal Hester and two in infancy.

Friends may visit on Monday, January 25, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Bob Lowery Obituary ShowMe Times

Bob Lowrey, son of the late Grady Lowrey and Helen Denton Lowrey, was born on August 25, 1937 in Catron, Missouri and departed this life on January 20, 2016 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 78.

Mr. Lowrey was a member of the Miner Baptist Church in Miner, Missouri, a Sunday School teacher and a former deacon of the First Baptist Church of Parma, Missouri.  He was a partner in the Sandy Ridge Cotton Company in Malden and co-owner of Bob Lowrey Farms of Parma.

On October 12, 1957, he was united in marriage to Betty Miller in Parma, Missouri.  Mrs. Lowrey survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Bobby David Lowrey and wife Kerri of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Debbie Lewis and husband Steve of Dexter, Missouri and Lisa Dockins of Sikeston, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Heather Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Hunter Dockins, Hannah Dockins, Bobby Lee Lowrey and his wife Kelsey and Tori Lowrey; by four great-grandchildren, Nate Lewis, Carli Lewis, Madison Lowrey and Emma Johnson; and by two sisters, Sally Mollineaux of Benton, Missouri and Joyce Stewart of Parma, Missouri and many other family members and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson and by one sister, Rita Cook.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Mitch Jackson officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

Otis S. Cummings, Sr. of Puxico, son of the late John Wesley and Kate R. Marion Cummings, was born in Fairview, Missouri on May 9, 1936 and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on January 15, 2016, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 6 days.

Otis had lived in Fairview, Missouri most of his life and moved to Puxico in 2002. He had worked as a rocket and jet engine mechanic and had owned his own tractor business. He had spent thirty years in the Missouri National Guard. He enjoyed working on and restoring tractors.

On January 1, 1988, he married Merlyn Clinton Richard in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Surviving is his wife, Merlyn Cummings of Puxico; two sons, Otis S. Cummings, Jr. of Van Buren, MO, Leslie Don Cummings of Puxico; two stepsons & wives, David & Cynthia Richard of Creve Coeur, MO, Dan & Janice Richard of Fenton, MO; six grandchildren, Sherri Kamguia and Zachary Cummings both of Neosho, MO, Ashley Henley of South Haven, MS, John Cummings of Memphis, TN, Aaron & James Cummings both of, Van Buren, MO; three step grandchildren, Matt Richard of Columbia, MO, Stacy Richard of Fenton, MO, Jackie Richard of Savannah, GA; four great great grandchildren, Landon Henley of South Haven, MS, Violet Elizabeth (Drake) Cummings and Wesley (Drake) Cummings both of Memphis, TN, Naomi Dawn Cummings of Neosho, MO; and one brother, David O'Neil Cummings of North Carolina. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016, from 11:00 am until time of services at 12:30 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.

Interment will follow at the Duck Creek Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Sheri Darlene DeJournett, daughter of Dorothy McCollum DeJournett and the late Wiley DeJournett, was born in Missouri on June 27, 1956, and passed away at her home in Dexter on January 14, 2016, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 18 days.

Mrs. DeJournett had grown up in Flat River, Missouri and had moved to Dexter in 2005. She was a graduate of Central High School in Flat River and had attended Mineral Area College for two years. She had worked as a bookkeeper at the hospital in Dexter.

Surviving are her mother, Dorothy DeJournett of Dexter, Missouri; and a cousin, Mike McCollum of Dexter, Missouri; and her long time friend, Randy Shelton of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.

Nona Juanita Parish, daughter of the late Leslie Norden and Lenora Evans Norden was born in Jackson, Tennessee on May 16, 1926 and departed this life at her Son’s residence in Bernie, Missouri on January 14, 2016 at the age of 89.

Mrs. Parish had been a homemaker and had attended Bernie Nazarene Church.

She was united in marriage to Lorn O’Neil Parish in Piggott, Arkansas on August 14, 1948.  He preceded his wife in death on July 5, 2010 

Survivors include one son, Sammie Lynn Parish of Bernie, Missouri; by two grandchildren; by four Great-Grandchildren and Five Great-Great-Grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by two brothers, E.J. Norden in infancy and Farwell Norden.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Bernie Cemetery,  starting at 11:00 A.M.  Rev. Robert Hamm officiating.  Interment will follow.   Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
