
The Lighthouse Church is once again recruiting "Bell Ringers" for the Christmas holiday season. They need bell ringers for shifts beginning at 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday from now until December 24th.
There will be two kettles at the Wal-Mart store in Dexter at each entrance.
The shifts may be one or two hour increments. Any church, business, or organization may fill one whole day, the same day every week, or any open shift. Each business or organization is welcome to bring an 8 1/2 x 11 sign and or wear their logo advertisement clothing.
They will provide a sign that will be laminated and taped to the kettle stand. Two bells will be provided and if you need more please bring them. No more than five people are allowed at each kettle. You can sing carols and wear your best smile (under your mask) and wish those who give a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays!
85% of all money collected will be allocated through the Salvation Army vouchers to help the residence of Stoddard County.
Last year's drive was the best year to date.

Dexter, MO - The 8th Annual Prayer Walk for Dexter School District was held on Sunday, August 23, 2020. It has already been quite a year with COVID-19 still affecting the country. With so much uncertainty it was especially important for those who participated to pray for the school, the administrators, teachers, staff, and students.
About 60 people attended and walked the campus stopping to pray at each building.

5th Annual Prayer Walk at Bloomfield Schools, Tuesday, August 25 at 6:00 p.m.
All who believe in the power of prayer are invited.
Meet in HS Gym parking lot for opening prayer.
Then we will walk the perimeter of the campus praying silently. Afterwards, you are invited to kneel or place a hand on specific buildings praying for the staff and students for the upcoming year.
All ages encouraged to come. If you are unable to walk benches are available. Please keep social distancing in mind.

Dexter, MO - The Dexter Knights of Columbus will host their annual Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Parish Center.
The meal will be served from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and will consist of fried catfish, slaw, potato, drink and a dessert.
Adult tickets are $10 each and children under 10 years of age are $5 each.
Carryouts are also available.
The public is encouraged to attend as you do not have to be a member of the Sacred Heart Church. The church is located at 102 E Caster St in Dexter.
