DHS Baccalaureate Service Set for Sunday, May 5, 2019

Dexter, Missouri - Hard to believe that the Graduating Class of 2019 will soon leave the halls of Dexter High School. The Class of 2019 will have their Baccalaureate Service on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church.

It will be a worship in celebration of and thanksgiving of lives dedicated to learning and wisdom. Dexter's First Assembly of God Church on the corner of One Mile Road and Brown Pilot Lane will host Baccalaureate. Pastor Jeffrey Roth from Risen Church will be the keynote speaker.

All graduating seniors are encouraged to attend as well as their family and friends. The public is also encouraged to attend this momentous occasion. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Seniors are asked to arrive early to line-up for their entrance with their cap and gown. Photos will be taken prior to the start of the service.

Thank you to the Ministerial Alliance and those graduating students who have worked very hard to have this wonderful event.

First Church of the Nazarene to Have Revival

Dexter, Missouri - First Church of the Nazarene will have a revival beginning March 14th and ending Sunday, March 17th.

Rev. Terry Chapman will be speaking Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 11:40 a.m. and 6 p.m.

First Church of Nazarene is located at 714 E. Stoddard Street in Dexter.

Risen Church to Host Trivia Night

Dexter, Missouri - Friday night March 8th, Risen Church will host a Trivia Night Fundraiser for the Missions team this Summer.

This night is not about hard, impossible to know questions, but is a fun yet engaging night of general trivia!

All proceeds for the night will go to the Mission teams going to help the church plant Generation Church in Portland, Tennessee.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and trivia will start at 6 p.m.

Tables can have up to 8 players with a donation of $10 per person or $80 per table.

Mulligans will also be available for purchase, so if you don't know the answer, you can just take a mulligan!

Light snacks will be provided, but we encourage you to bring whatever food you want!

Risen Church is located at 25 E Saint Francis St, in Dexter.

Friendship Baptist to Hold Centershot Archery

Dexter, Missouri - Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter will hold Centershot Archery activities on Tuesday evenings in February and March.

Centershot teaches archery skills with the goal being "Making Christ the Center of Your Life".

The sessions will be from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Family Life Center with certified leaders.

The sessions are open to children 8 years old and up, teens, and adults are also welcome to participate.

Friendship Baptist Church is located at 13437 Plaza Heights Dr in Dexter. From Highway 60 overpass on One Mile Road, take the North Outer Road west to the church.
