Blackwood Brothers Live in Concert

Dexter, Missouri - The First Christian Church will host a gospel concert featuring the Blackwood Brothers on September 13th.

The best known name in gospel music history will be in concert on Wednesday, September 13 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

First Christian Church is located at 224 E. Stoddard Street in Dexter, Missouri.

Join them for an evening filled with great gospel music!

First Assembly of God Church to Host FCA Breakfast on Friday
Dexter, Missouri - Dexter First Assembly of God will host the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast in Dexter on Friday, September 1, 2017.  

Athletes should be ready to eat at 7:15 a.m. and will have plenty of time to get to school on time.  

Amy Simmons and Kim Waldner will be the new FCA Sponsors this year.  Dues are $15 each and that will include a Fellowship of Christian Athletes' T-shirt.  Please sign up at the breakfast and bring your dues.  All Dexter athletes are welcome to join, not just fall sports!  

This is a good opportunity for each student who shows up to get a good breakfast in their system before a long day of school and football The fellowship these students have with one another is great.

First Assembly of God is located at 911 Brown Pilot Ln just behind Southwest Elementary.

Greg McGhee will have a devotion to deliver after everyone gets "checked-in" on their social media then it is time to have face-to-face conversations with one another.

"I really hope the students walk away from FCA with better character both on and off the court/field," continued Lovelady.  "I also hope they see that they have someone to turn to if they ever need to talk about something going on or if they ever have questions about their faith or furthering their relationship with Jesus Christ."

Due are $15, but you don't have to pay tomorrow.  They will also be giving some dates of when to turn in dues and find out how many t-shirts need to be ordered.  This is a great opportunity for all athletes to get involved.

Dexter, Missouri - The First Baptist Church in Dexter has an opening for Church Financial Secretary.

This position is part-time.  Normal work hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Candidate must have accounting and/or bookkeeping experience utilizing computer software.

Person will be responsible for recording income, accounts payable, monthly financial reports, bank reconciliation, etc.

Compensation based on experience.

All interested candidates may pick-up an employment application at First Baptist Church, 11 W. Castor. St. in Dexter.  They are open Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - Noon.
