The CYF will hold a "50s Diner" beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the church's Disciple Center. The menu will feature hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chili, chili dogs and frito chili pies.

Also featured on the menu will be french fries or chips, drink and dessert of brownie ala ode or soda float.

All of this will be accompanied by "old fashioned" rock & roll on the "juke box."

The cost of the meal will be $5 or a combination of 5 of the following canned goods:
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Tuna or other canned meat
  • 1 pound bags of pinto beans or rice
  • Boxes of macaroni and cheese
  • Peanut butter
The canned goods will be used by the CWF ladies group for outreach boxes.

Everyone is invited and serving will continue until 7 p.m. (or the food runs out).
