DHS STUCCO to Host Senior Citizen's Turkey Dinner

Dexter, Missouri - Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.  Everyone should experience the tradition of a great meal, family and a fun afternoon of visiting.

The Student Council of Dexter High School (STUCCO) knows all too well how tradition is important; therefore they will again this year host the Senior Citizen's Turkey Dinner on Tuesday, November 26th.

Dinner will be served at the High School at 5:00 p.m.

All Senior Citizens are encouraged to attend and no pre-registration is required.  There is no charge for this wonderful meal.

Kelley Joins Cape Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine

Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to announce that Leticia Kelley, APRN, FNP-BC, has joined Cape Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.

Kelley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Missouri – Columbia in Columbia, Mo. in 2000. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo. in 2007. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Kelley has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 11 years.

She is married to husband, Jason. They have two boys, 7-year-old Brayden and 10-year-old Kaden, and a German Shepherd. Kelley loves spending time with family, attending sporting events with her children, traveling and outdoor activities.

Cape Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine is located at 24 South Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau, Mo. It is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Pick-up date is Saturday November 23, 2019 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Fellowship Hall in Dexter.

Chickens are $15 each and loins are $25 each.

McClard Joins Emergency Department

Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to announce that Taylor L. McClard, MSPA, PA-C, has joined the Emergency Department as a Certified Physician Assistant.

McClard earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2017 and Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University in 2019. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

“The eight values of Saint Francis mirror my own core beliefs and values,” McClard said. “The Medical Center has some of the top major service lines in the country along with a Level III Trauma Center. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside some of the most compassionate and respectful employees I have encountered during my professional education.”

In her spare time, McClard likes to volunteer at area animal shelters, participate in donation and food drives, bike, hike, read and travel.

Dexter, Missouri - The Lunch Box formerly known as the Stoddard County Nutrition Center invites you to join them for lunch Monday - Friday and enjoy some fun activities as well.

The Lunch Box is located at 23 W. Stoddard St. in historic downtown Dexter and it's not just for seniors!

You really don't have to be a senior to eat there.  The food is great, served hot, and very inexpensive.

They serve lunch from noon - 1 p.m. and the cost is $3.50 for seniors and $5.50 for non-seniors.  Suggested age for seniors is 60+

Monday, November 4th - Spaghetti and meatballs, vegetable blend, corn, breadstick, and fruit.

Tuesday, November 5th - White chicken chili, pimento cheese sandwich, carrots, crackers, and fruit.

Wednesday, November 6th - Sloppy Joe or fish, potatoes, zucchini, or tomatoes, cornbread, and fruit.

Thursday, November 7th - Finger Licken' Chicken, potatoes, green beans, biscuit, and gravy, and fruit.

Friday, November 8th - Pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes, vegetable blend, roll, and fruit.
