Leadership Program Members Recognized at Chamber Banquet

Dexter, Missouri - On Saturday, February 10, 2019 the Dexter Chamber of Commerce held their annual awards banquet at the Elks Lodge.  

Korie Fish, Executive Chamber Director, recognized the members of the Leadership Program.

The program is designed to educate and motivate up and coming leaders in the community.  This is for individuals who have a genuine interest in leadership and a desire to learn, and who want to become more involved in the future of the community.

Dexter Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Results

Dexter, Missouri - The Knights of Columbus held their annual free throw contest on Sunday afternoon.

Winners are ten year-old Brooklyn Goodman, 10 year-old Justus Lovelady, and 12 year-old Ryan Kaufman.

Each contestant was allowed 15 free throw attempts in the contests.

The next round will be held Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church.  

Winners will then compete in Regionals at Jackson, Missouri then on to state in Jefferson City, MO.

Spread A Little Love on Valentine’s Day

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Stoddard County 4-H will hold a Valentine's Day card making social.

They will be making Valentine's Day cards for the residents of the Bloomfield Living Center.

Everyone is invited to participate.  Come out and craft some wonderful cards to send to the residents.

All supplies are provided to make the cards.

Come see what they have in store for their upcoming events for the Stoddard County Youth!

This event will be held in the Stoddard County Courthouse inside the University of Missouri Extension Office on February 11, 2019, from 3-6:30 pm.

Dexter Elks Help Sponsor Valentines for Veterans Concert

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Elks and Ladies' Auxiliary from Lodge 2439 helped sponsor the annual Valentine's Concert for Vets.

John J. Pershing VA Medical Center thanks the them for their support.

This event is a great way for our community to show our Veterans how much we support them!

Pictured on the right is Dennis Carmack of the Elks Lodge.

Valentines for Veterans Concert - 2019 will feature Rodney Atkins with special guest Tiera.

Also, Mark Littell - former MLB pitcher will be there to talk with Veterans before the concert.

Tickets will be available starting January 3, 2019.
