Dexter, Missouri - Jadyn Northcutt, Dexter HIgh School student, has organized a fundraiser in memory of DHS school nurse, Linda Milam.
All proceeds will go to her family to help with medical expenses.
She will be selling bracelets for $3 each with Linda's name on them on Friday, February 2nd at the Bearcat Event Center during Friday night's boys basketball game against Advance.
A table will be set up in the lobby. There will also be a raffle drawing for a family to win a mini session and 11x14 portrait from Tiny Soul Studios. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
The winner will be drawn during the half-time of the varsity game.

Poplar Bluff, Missouri - The community members who help organize the Badge of Honor Benefit Run have set the date for April 14, 2018. To date this is the largest run thus far raising more money than any other Badge of Honor event.
The benefit provides support to three groups which assist first responders who have dedicated their lives to serving local residents.
The event raised about $16,000 last year and is expected to raise at least $25, 000 this year. Money will be divided between the Missouri Association State Troopers Emergency Relief Society, BackStoppers, and the local chapter of the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police.
The race will start and end at three Rivers College which has hosted it for the past two years. Registration must be completed by March 1, 2018 for those runner who wish to receive a T-shirt and finisher's medal. Race begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th.
The cost to register is also less in advance; however you can register the morning of the race.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each race category for female and male participants. Medals will be awarded to the top three among age group categories.

Jefferson City, Missouri - Stoddard County residents know that Emma Worley has a big heart! She raises lots of money for those battling cancer. Did you know she also has a big voice?
Emma and her parents, Ben and Belinda Worley, came to the Missouri State Capitol last week.
She sang the song "Still" for our representatives and senators in congress.
"I had the honor and pleasure to hear Emma sing in the beautiful Missouri State Capitol Rotunda,' stated Doug Libla, MO State Senator from Poplar Bluff. "Her song selection was "Still" and what a great performance."
151st State Representative Herman Morse was also present for her performance.

Bloomfield, Missouri - Family and loved ones of Doris Price are hosting a Bake Sale, Yard Sale and Ham & Bean Dinner at the Bible Tabernacle Church located at 709 Bedford Street in Bloomfield on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
The Bake Sale and Yard Sale will begin at 8:00 a.m.
The Ham & Bean Dinner will begin at 4:00 p.m. There will also be chili and crackers. Dessert and drink are also included. Cost per plate is $10.
All proceeds will to the pre-payment of all funeral expenses fro Doris Price who has fallen ill and is in the care of hospice at her home. Any donation will be accepted.
