Plans Set for 2018 Badge of Honor Run

Poplar Bluff, Missouri - The community members who help organize the Badge of Honor Benefit Run have set the date for April 14, 2018.  To date this is the largest run thus far raising more money than any other Badge of Honor event.

The benefit provides support to three groups which assist first responders who have dedicated their lives to serving local residents.

The event raised about $16,000 last year and is expected to raise at least $25, 000 this year.  Money will be divided between the Missouri Association State Troopers Emergency Relief Society, BackStoppers, and the local chapter of the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police.

The race will start and end at three Rivers College which has hosted it for the past two years.  Registration must be completed by March 1, 2018 for those runner who wish to receive a T-shirt and finisher's medal. Race begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th.

The cost to register is also less in advance; however you can register the morning of the race.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each race category for female and male participants.  Medals will be awarded to the top three among age group categories.
