Day Camp for Horse Lovers

Bloomfield, Missouri - Are you crazy about horses?  The 4-H Horse Camp will be held on November 4th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Elderland Farms in Bloomfield.

You will absolutely love our “All About Horses” camp!

Youth will learn about horse care, horsemanship safety, ground handling, saddling and mounting, preparing a horse for shows and How to RIDE a horse!!

"We will have many experts and guest speakers to help youth learn about horses," commented Rachel Elder, Youth Program Assistant for Stoddard County.

Cowboy/Cowgirl lunch will be served at high noon and snacks will be provided.

Cost for the camp will be $40 or $20 if you are a current active 4-H member.

If you are not a 4-H member, we can apply $20 to a 2017-18 4-H membership.

Space is limited.

Enrollment forms are available from 4-H club leaders or at your local MU Extension county office.

Haunting for a Cause

Advance, Missouri - Looking for a fun evening?  Want to support a great cause?  Come out to the hayride through the haunted woods in Advance on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st.

Cost for the Haunted Tour is $5.00 and all proceeds go to a good cause!  Friends and family of Driea and Steve Rodgers are raising money to help with medical expenses.  Driea continues to battle brain cancer.

The haunting starts at 6:00 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. which is a more kid friendly and then after 8 p.m. it is a little bit more creepy for the adults and older youngsters.

Meet at Umfleet Park where they will also be selling hotdogs, chips, drinks, and marshmallows.  There will be a bonfire to roast your dog or cook your marshmallow!

Bracelets will also be available for Team Driea/Haunting for a Cause for $4.00 each.  If you wear your bracelet the night of the hayride they will take a dollar off your haunted tour!  Bracelets are available at Tri County Metal or at Ross Minit Mart.

Wear your running shoes!!  They suggest not to wear flip flops in the woods!

2017 Miss Stoddard County Queen is Macy Roper of Dexter.  She is the daughter of Tony and Tonya Roper.

Miss Stoddard County 1st Attendant is Faith Woods of Bernie.  She is the daughter of Cecily and Jackie Graham.

Miss Stoddard County 2nd Attendant is Molly Murphy of Dexter.  She is the daughter of Robin and Keith Davidson.

Jr. Miss Stoddard County 1st Attendant is Katelynn Owens of Dexter.  She is the daughter of Ken and Shannon Owens.

Jr. Miss Stoddard County 2nd Attendant is Molly Below of Bloomfield.  She is the daughter of Jenny Below and Alan Below.
