
Dexter, Missouri - 2016 Miss Heartland Pageants were held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Dexter High School Auditorium.
The Miss Heartland Pageants are a fundraiser for the Dexter High School choral department under the direction of educator Jamie Sepulvado.
First in the pageants was Wee Miss Heartland, ages 0 - 11 months.
2016 Wee Miss Heartland was Lennox LeBeau. First alternate was Isabella Reed and 2ns alternate was Layken Jones.
Congratulations and typically they will ride in the annual Stoddard County Fair Parade on Tuesday, September 20th at 5:30 p.m.

Dexter, Missouri - A Benefit Motorcycle Ride or Drive a Car for Adam Pixley, who is battling cancer, will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
Registration will be at the Dexter Elks Lodge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Kickstands up at 11:00 a.m.
Everyone will receive a ticket for a drawing at each stop.
The first stop will be the Advance Eagles. Second stop will be the VFW at Wappapello Lake, next stop will be Bullwinkles. The fourth stop will be Freddy G's and the last stop will be back to the Elks Lodge for hot dogs and hamburgers.
The donation is $20.00 per bike and $5.00 for riders.

Dexter, Missouri - Thursday was Industrial Appreciation Donut Day! More than 1,700 donuts were distributed to area industries as part of the 31st Annual Chamber Industrial Appreciation Week.
Donuts were made by Faye's Baker in Dexter.

Duley Machine Shop is Dexter's oldest industry. They have been in business for 89 years. Tyson Foods has been in Dexter for 80 years.

Bootheel Rentals offers tents and event rentals that include almost any item used for parties or special events. They have bounce houses, table top games and wedding decorations. They even have heavy equipment snd small tool rentals along with safety equipment.
