
Dexter, Missouri - A Community Prayer Vigil for Chase Morrison has been set for Wednesday, May 4th at 7:45 p.m. at West Park.
Greg McGhee,Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church will lead the prayer. Scott Kruse, T.S. Hill Middle School Principal, will also speak. Lauren Thrower will sing Amazing Grace.
His classmates have asked that everyone wear BLUE on Wednesday and to the Prayer Vigil.
Blue and white balloons will also be released in his memory. If anyone would like to donate for the expense of the balloons or speak at the Vigil, please contact Dee Loflin at (573) 380-3318. You may bring a candle or a flashlight as well.

Dexter, Missouri - A Benefit for Chase Morrison account has been established at First Midwest Bank in Dexter.
As a community we come together to help comfort the family in their time of need. The account is in the name of his mother, Julie Hughes and is to help the family with medical expenses and other expenses as needed during their time of need.
This account is separate from the account established at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home for funeral related expenses.
You may donate for Chase at either location in Dexter. First Midwest Banks are located at 819 Business Hwy 60 or 20 West Stoddard St. in Dexter.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Awards Banquet on Friday, April 29th.
Jason Williams, Vice-President of the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, presented the 2016 Organization of the Year Award to the Bloomfield Wildcats Basketball Team.
Coach Karnes and his team had 28 wins and 5 losses this season. They won the Bernie High School Basketball Invitational Tournament and the Stoddard County Athletic Association Tournament. They also finished fourth in the Missouri State Class 2 Basketball Tournament at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.
Coach Karnes was named "Coach of the Year" and Noah Vandiver was named "Player of the Year" by the SCAA Coaches.

Jim Tweedy presented the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award to Mike Davis at the Bloomfield Chamber Awards Banquet.
Mike Davis served as a member of the Stoddard County Children's Home Board of Directors for four years before becoming Executive Director of that facility. He then served in that capacity for an additional 27 years. He was director
Mike Davis served as a member of the Stoddard County Children’s Home Board for 4 years before becoming executive director of that facility and served in that capacity for an additional 27 years. He was director of the Stoddard County Juvenile Detention Center and became the Chief Juvenile Officer in 1990. He served as Vice President, President and Chairman of Administrative Concerns for the Missouri Juvenile Justice Association. He was an original member of the Standard of Administration for the Juvenile Justice Committee until he retired in November of 2015.

Dexter, Missouri - For those of you wishing to help the Morrison family, a fund has been established at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home.
The family of Chase Morrison has asked Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home to be in charge of his funeral arrangements. They are as follows: Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. With a funeral service being conducted at 3:00 P.M.
"Many people from the Dexter Community have already contacted our funeral home to assist in the financial portion of their services," stated Greg Mathis. "Rest assured, there will be NO financial burden or expectations from his family."
"We will have a separate account set-up to document all donations made on his behalf, to make sure that all necessary final expenses will be taken care of. Anything over and above those expenses will be turned over to T.S. Hill Middle School, for a memorial in his honor."
