
Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Awards Banquet on Friday, April 29th.
Jason Williams, Vice-President of the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, presented the 2016 Organization of the Year Award to the Bloomfield Wildcats Basketball Team.
Coach Karnes and his team had 28 wins and 5 losses this season. They won the Bernie High School Basketball Invitational Tournament and the Stoddard County Athletic Association Tournament. They also finished fourth in the Missouri State Class 2 Basketball Tournament at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.
Coach Karnes was named "Coach of the Year" and Noah Vandiver was named "Player of the Year" by the SCAA Coaches.

Jim Tweedy presented the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award to Mike Davis at the Bloomfield Chamber Awards Banquet.
Mike Davis served as a member of the Stoddard County Children's Home Board of Directors for four years before becoming Executive Director of that facility. He then served in that capacity for an additional 27 years. He was director
Mike Davis served as a member of the Stoddard County Children’s Home Board for 4 years before becoming executive director of that facility and served in that capacity for an additional 27 years. He was director of the Stoddard County Juvenile Detention Center and became the Chief Juvenile Officer in 1990. He served as Vice President, President and Chairman of Administrative Concerns for the Missouri Juvenile Justice Association. He was an original member of the Standard of Administration for the Juvenile Justice Committee until he retired in November of 2015.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Awards Banquet on Friday, April 29th.
Goldie DeGroot, President of the Bloomfield Chamber, presented the 2016 Business of the Year Award to Jacob Goodin Auction Service.
Jacob Goodin Auction Service is a family owned and operated business now at their new location on State Highway 25 just north of Bloomfield. Their services include farm machinery, land, estate, and charity auctions throughout the state of Missouri, as well as equipment appraisals.
In 2015 they added two additional businesses, Circle G Reality and Goodin Sign Company.

Toni Hill, Superintendent of Bloomfield Public Schools, presented Dustin Hicks with the 2016 Bloomfield Chamber Educator of the Year Award.
Dustin is a 1999 graduate of Bloomfield High School. He served 8 years as a physical education teacher, athletic director, baseball, and basketball coach at both Van Buren and Bloomfield Schools. He also served as Middle School Principal at Puxico before turning to Bloomfield in 2012 ad High School Principal.

Pam Elder presented the Kingree Family with the Bloomfield Chamber 2016 Farm Family of the Year.
Elvin and Jane Kingree have been involved in farming for 36 years. Elvin is a 1973 graduate of Bloomfield High School. They currently farm 3,600 acres of corn, rice, and soybeans.
