2023 Dexter CTA Retirement Tea Featuring Amy Pixley

The Dexter CTA held their Annual Retirement Tea at the Bearcat Event Center on Tuesday, April 18, 2023
Amy Pixley graduated from Oakland City University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with Kindergarten.
She has taught at Clarkton Public Schools in Kindergarten from 1994 through 1997 as well as New Madrid County at Teaching for Tomorrow from 1997 through 2000.
In 2000, Pixley came to Southwest Elementary to teach Kindergarten.
She finishes her education as a Central Elementary 5th grade teacher.
Pixley is retiring with 19 of her 29 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Dexter Public Schools.

The Dexter CTA held their Annual Retirement Tea at the Bearcat Event Center on Tuesday, April 18, 2023
Laura Miller began her career in education as the Dexter High School secretary in 1992.
In 1998 she became the Dexter School District Bookkeeper.
Miller will retire in December of 2023 with all 31 and 1/2 years of dedicated and faithful service to the Dexter School District.

2023 Dexter CTA Retirement Tea Featuring Shelly Leonard

The Dexter CTA held their Annual Retirement Tea at the Bearcat Event Center on Tuesday, April 18, 2023
Shelly Leonard graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2001 with her Bachelors of Elementary Education 1st - 6th grades.
She also earned her Masters in Education from Southwest Baptist University in 2003.
Leonard began her teaching career at Dexter in 2002 as a second grade teacher.
In 2021 she became the Elementary computer science teacher.
She is retiring with all 21 of her years in dedicated and faithful service to Dexter Public Schools.

2023 Dexter CTA Retirement Tea Featuring Kerri Kruse

The Dexter CTA held their Annual Retirement Tea at the Bearcat Event Center on Tuesday, April 18, 2023
Kerri Kruse graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a Bachelor of Special Education K-12 in 1993 with certifications in MR, BD, and LD.
She also earned her Masters of Education from Southwest Baptist University in 1999.
She began teaching at Gracemore Elementary in Northern Kansas City for two years from 1994-1996.
Mrs. Kruse then returned to Dexter where she has worked at T.S. Hill Middle School, Southwest Elementary, Central Elementary and back to Southwest. She has also served as Varsity Basketball Cheer Coach from 2016 - 2022.
Mrs. Kruse is retiring with 27 of her 29 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Dexter Public School District.

The Dexter CTA held their Annual Retirement Tea at the Bearcat Event Center on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Mrs. Tammy Freeman became the Dexter High School secretary on August 12, 2003.
She will retire at the end of June with over 20 years of dedicated and faithful service to the Dexter Public School District.
Congratulations Mrs. Freeman.
