Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Bond Issue?
A bond issue is a way to borrow money to fund capital projects like school renovations. This requires voter approval.
Will the Bond Issue raise my taxes?
No. This is a NO TAX INCREASE Bond Issue and voter approval will not increase the District’s current debt service tax levy, which is dedicated to the repayment of bonds.
Where does the money come from to pay for the bonds?
The District obtains bids and sells bonds to the buyer with the lowest interest rate. The District then pays back the debt over a period of years with tax dollars. This process is similar to a home loan.
Can the funds be used in any other way?
No. The money from bond issues can only be used for capital expenditures, such as building additions, repair, renovation and certain technology costs.
What are the benefits of passing the tax levy?
• Facilities that provide learning environments that meet the needs of today and tomorrow's students with proper technology, safety, security, and comfort.
• Energy efficiency and reduced utility costs.
• Sound investment of our capital dollars in facilities that will serve the community for years to come.
If the bond issue passes, when would the work be done?
The work would be started during the 2019 summer break.

Dexter, Missouri - Recent winds had take the American Flag at the County Wide Insurance office and tangled itself and would not fly correctly. They tried to adjust the normal way and it wouldn't work. They just didn't have a pole long enough to reach the flag to make it work.
"Let’s say it’s always worth asking for a little help," commented Alan Hedrick, owner of County Wide Insurance.
Ameren Missouri team member Michael Green was finishing up his day as Alan just happen to pull up next to his truck.
"I just asked if he would mind giving us a hand fixing our flag and his eyes lit up when he heard the world "flag" spoken," stated Hedrick.
So without hesitation he said he and his company would always be willing to provide assistance in fixing our American flag.
Michael was ready and eager. His comment was “Where?”.
"When I told him it was just next door, he said “Absolutely” continued Hedrick.
Within about 10 minutes, he took a near impossible job and made quick work of it.
Now the flag is again gracefully flying at County Wide Insurance Agency.
"We fly it proudly and know the sacrifices that soldiers have made for our freedoms"
Special thanks for Ameren Missouri for having a culture of helpfulness in the community and the kind of people that truly enjoy their work.
