
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is April 8th - 14th, 2018. During this week the ShowMe Times will feature local telecommunicators.
Jennifer Robson works for the Dexter Police Department. She has been in the telecommunications field for two years.
She is the mother of one and enjoys sewing, quilting, and woodworking. She also enjoys being at home and working around the house.
"Cherish every minute," stated Robson. Her message to the citizens of our area.

Jene Ann McGill works for the Dexter Police Department.
She has been in telecommunications for 25 years.
She was born and raised in Stoddard County and enjoys spending time with her cats and dogs. She also enjoys attending Mini Cooper events.

Amanda Anderson works for the Dexter Police Department. She has been in telecommunications for 12 years.
She is the mother of an 8-year old girl who is her entire world. She loves sketching, painting and bowling. She loves to travel, especially the beach.
"Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction!" This is what she wants to share with the citizens in our area.

Roy G. Reaves is with the Dexter Police Department. He has been in telecommunications for 14 years.
"As a police officer in El Paso, Texas, I did three years of SVS in the Dispatch Office," commented Reaves. "After retiring from Arvin Meritor I worked 8 years with Stoddard County Dispatch. The last three years I have worked part-time at Dexter Police Department.
"Take deep breaths to help you remain calm. Speak clearly and answer all the call takers questions. Know where you are."

Dexter, Missouri - Stoddard County Relay for Life event will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at East Park in Dexter from 4 p.m. - 12:01 a.m.
This year they have added a new event, "Paws for a Cause" which will feature our four legged fur babies.
After the first lap for survivors a second lap has been added for Paws for a Cause.
You can also purchase luminaries in memory or honor of a canine who has battled cancer or was a pet of someone who had cancer.
There will be special entertainment by Riley & Roxie during the Opening Ceremony between 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
A special "Paws" Pavilion around 7 p.m.
There will be a costume contest with prizes for the BEST 'Attacking Cancer" Costume!
Also set up will be the K9 Bix Paw Club and the Ozark Federal Credit Union Treat Booth.
All pets must be on a leach. Owners are responsible for picking up puppy poo and no pit bulls will be allowed during the event.
