
The Dexter School Board held its regularly November meeting on November 28th at 6 p.m.
Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge: The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members, with all members being present. The Board President leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Consent Agenda: The consent agenda was approved.
Public Comments: There was one registered guest; Mr. Jason Ryan.
Old Business:
A. There was no old business to be discussed.
New Business:
A. The board approved budget amendments for the month of November.
B. The board approved the annual MUSIC assessment invoice.
C. The board approved the Director of Special Services as the Foster Care Liaison, The Migrant Liaison, and the ELL Liaison.
D. The board approved the 2024-2025 school calendar.
Discussion Items: The following items were discussed with the board:
A. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for December 19 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
B. The monthly nurses reports were reviewed.
C. The monthly building reports were reviewed.
D. The Superintendent’s report was reviewed.

2. The board approved the following resignations, retirements, recensions:
Delissa Sitze-Choir at T.S. Hill Middle School, retirement effective at the conclusion of the 23-24 school year.
Eric Sitze-Dexter High School Physical Education/Girls Varsity Head Basketball/Head Golf, retirement effective at the conclusion of the 23-24 school year.
Marcella Burkhart-Bus Driver, resignation effective on 11/8/2023.
Chassi Zook-Building Aide at T.S. Hill Middle School, resignation effective on 11/6/2023.
3. The board approved the hiring of the following individuals for the 2023-2024 school year, pending a favorable background check and appropriate certification:
James Tucker-Bus Driver, full time.
Hannah Emery-Building Aide, T. S. Hill Middle School.
Lindsay Jarrett-Special Services Paraprofessional, Central Elementary,
B. Jenkins-cooperating teacher.
Audrey Woods-Special Services Paraprofessional, High School,

4. The board approved the following transfers:
Tabatha Felker, from special services aide at Central to ECSE aide at Southwest, effective immediately.
Alexis Lovins, from 4th grade ELA to 5th grade math for the 24-25 school year.
5. The board approved the semester graduates who have fulfilled all graduation requirements.
6. The board approved the hiring of Nancy Langley as the T.S Hill Middle School Principal for the 24-25 school year.

Dexter High School honored their fall athletes at Senior Night at Charles Bland Stadium on Friday, October 20th prior to the kick-off between the Dexter Bearcats and the Malden Green Wave.
Allison Turbo is the daughter of Holly and Jason Turnbo.
she isa one year member of the varsity Football Cheer Team. she is also a member of the varsity Basketball team, Track and Field Team, Sr. Beta Club, FCCLA, Future Business Leaders of America, DECA, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Her future plans are to attend college and major in Early Childhood Education or Special Education to pursue a career in teaching.
Allison's favorite cheer memory is the 2023 fall homecoming routine with the football players and other guys.

Addie Medley is the daughter of Mikey and Kelly Medley.
She is a four year member of the varsity Football Cheer team. She is also a member of the Student Council, Fellowship or Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, DHS Kickin' Cats Dance Team, School Musical, Chamber Choir, and is the president of the Sr. Beta Club.
Her future plans are to attend Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in Springfield, Missouri. After cosmetology school, she would like to return back home to Dexter and open her own salon, doing hair and makeup.
Addie's favorite cheer memory is when it poured down rain at the HOCO game her sophomore year, and we made "rain angels" on the track.

Kaylee Hazel is the daughter of Brandon Hazel. Also standing with Kaylee tonight is her Cheer Coach + "School Mom", Lindsay Woods.
She has been a member of the varsity Football Cheer for three years. Kaylee is also a member of Chamber Choir, Softball, and participates in the PLTW medical courses.
After graduation, Her plans are to attend Paul Mitchell cosmetology school and become a hairstylist.
Kaylee's favorite cheer memory is when Rhyder caught his 3rd interception against Scott City and handed her the ball on the sidelines, the crowd was so loud...she will never forget it!!

Rylee Corlew is the daughter of Ryan and Jessica Lee.
She has been a member of the varsity Football Cheer team for three years as well as a member of the DHS Kickin' Cats Dance Team. She is also a member of the National Sr. Beta Club, Show Choir, Chamber Choir and FCCLA.
Her future plans are to attend Three Rivers College and obtain a degree in fine arts. She wants to pursue a career in photography and design.
Rylee's favorite member from cheerleading was from her sophomore year at the homecoming game when it started to downpour on them while they were cheering and ruined their hair and makeup, but by then of the game they accepted their fate and started to make rain angels.
