Dexter, MO - On March 25th Southwest Elementary will hold Kindergarten Screening Day for the 2022-2023 school year.
The screening will take place at the Bearcat Event Center from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Children who will be 5 years old by July 31, 2022 will be eligible to participate in the screening.
Southwest Elementary office will accept appointments through Friday, March 11, 2022. Please call (573) 614-1015 for an appointment.
If your child is currently enrolled in preschool at Southwest Elementary you will NOT need to make a screening appointment.
Dexter, MO - Four Dexter High School students have qualified for the District Contest on March 30th at Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau.
Area 16 FFA Knowledge Team consists of Owen Miller, Fisher Menley, Logan Pullum, and Tucker Temples.

Puxico, MO - The Puxico FCCLA will host a Daddy/Daughter Dance on Saturday, March 26th; however the deadline to register is March 9th.
The Grand March will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Puxico Athletic Center. The dance will beheld in the ARnold Ryan Gym from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Cost is $20 per couple and $10 extra for each daughter. Make checks payable to Puxico R-8 Schools.
This is for girls ages 3 years to 5th grade students.
Admission will include a complimentary 4x6 photo. There will be music/dancing and snacks/desserts.
Admission is limited so you must register by March 9th.

Bell City, MO - Jessica Cloninger named 2021-2022 Multi-Level Counselor of the Year for outstanding support of school counseling services at Bell City R-2 School District.
The award was presented by Southeast Missouri School Counselor Association.

Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary in Dexter honored Second Grade students with Positive Office Referral certificates.
This award was presented to students who consistently showed the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN.
Each student received a certificate and a FREE Taco from Taco Bell.
