Miss DHS Candidates were announced on Friday, September 10th. On Monday, September 13th Miss DHS was held at Charles Bland Stadium in front of the entire high school student body.
Rachel Lin is the daughter of Min Lin.
She serves as the DHS Student Body President, Future Business Leaders of America president, National Sr. Beta Secretary, Rotary Interact Secretary, and FCCLA Historian.
Rachel is also in Pep Club, HOSA, Top 10%, National Honor Society, and she is a varsity football and basketball cheerleader.
In the future, Rachel plans to pursue a career in the medical field as a plastic surgeon.
Rachel’s escort is Andrew Dodson.
He is the son of Michael and Jennifer Dodson.
Andrew described Rachel as kind, intelligent, and beautiful.

Her future plans are to attend a four-year university and major in elementary education.
Lexie’s escort is Miller McLaughlin. Miller is the son of Ryan and Chasity McLaughlin.

She plays varsity volleyball and is a varsity basketball cheerleader. She is also a member of student council, National Honor Society, National Beta Club, FCA, FCCLA, Pep Club and Chamber Choir. Andie is also a cast member of the DHS musical.
Her future plans are to attend a four year university and major in business.
Andie’s escort is Taylor Condict.
Taylor is the son of Robert and Krystal Condict.
Taylor described Andie as beautiful, sweet, and loud.

Abby DeMent is the daughter of Jessica and Cody Jinkerson and Barry DeMent.
She is a member of the varsity band, jazz band, chamber choir, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society and she is the president of the DHS Beta Club.
Her future plans are to attend college and go into music production and technology.
Abby is being escorted by her brother Levi DeMent.
Levi describes his sister as talented, smart, and beautiful.
