Southwest Elementary First Graders Earn Positive Office Referral Awards
Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honored First Grade students with Positive Office Referral certificates.

This award was presented to students who consistently showed the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN.

Each student received a certificate and a FREE Taco from Taco Bell.

Bernie School Board June Meeting Minutes - McKinnis Resigns as Secondary Principal
Bernie, Missouri - The Bernie School Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 10, 2019.

A light agenda included acceptance of a 3-Year Financial Institution Bid from Sterling Bank of Bernie.

The Board approved the program evaluations on Federal Programs and Fiscal Management.

While addressing finances the Board approved transfer of funds from the General Fund to the Capital Projects fund as allowed for transportation and the Guaranteed Tax Base transfer, approved the final 2018/2019 Budget Amendment and adopted the 2019/2020 Bernie School Budget.   

The financial statement and payment of bills were approved.

During the Executive Session, the Board accepted Lucas McKinnis’ resignation as the Secondary Principal, hired Jayme Harris as the Kindergarten Teacher, and hired LaShun Rutledge as a Special Ed Elementary Paraprofessional.

Chancellor and Dean Lists for Spring 2019 at Arkansas State University Released
Students on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists for spring 2019 at Arkansas State University have been announced.

Combined, the group totals 2,295 students. The lists also include 73 students from Campus Querétaro, Mexico, who met the academic requirements for the two categories.

The two lists recognize undergraduate students who achieved the highest grade point averages while enrolled in 12 or more credit hours of study. 

The Chancellor’s List (designated as CL) includes students who earned a grade point average of 3.80 to 4.0 for spring classes. The Dean’s List (DL) includes students with a grade point average of 3.6 to 3.79.

Important Message from Advance Schools
Advance, Missouri - Students entering the 8th grade are required to have the Tdap and the Meningococcal vaccination.

Students entering the 12th grade are required to have the Meningococcal vaccination.

These vaccinations are required by Missouri State Law, Section 210.003, RSMo

These vaccines are free at the Stoddard County Public Health Center in Bloomfield. They request that you please call ahead. Their telephone number is 1-800-303-4593. They ask that you bring your shot record with you when you get your vaccinations updated.

You must bring or send proof of these vaccinations on or before the first day of the 19-20 school year.
