Girls Varsity Basketball in LRCC (Twin Rivers), 8:00 pm, bus 6:30 pm

Congratulations to Margo Nea for being selected to First Team All-Region for Cross Country.

The DHS Pep Club has brought a lot of energy to the last few games. GREAT JOB!  We can’t wait to hear what your themes will be for the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.  Remember…. The Bloomfield Gym fills up quick so will need to get there early.  Our BEARCATS will face Malden on December 26th at  12:30 pm.  

SCTC students will not attend trade school on Wednesday, December 19. Please report to school by 8:05. Students you will go to your advisory class in the morning.

Students should take care of any outstanding fines or fees and pay lunch balances to be eligible to attend the Winter Homecoming Dance on January 4th.

Three Rivers College Releases Fall 2018 Dean's List

Three Rivers College has released its Dean’s List for the Fall 2018 semester. The honor is awarded to students taking 12 or more credit hours in a semester, who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Dean’s List honors are also used at graduation to help determine eligibility for honors or highest honors.

2019 DHS Winter Homecoming Candidates Announced
Dexter, Missouri - Dexter High School released the 2019 Winter Homecoming candidates.  Winter Homecoming will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019.  The boys basketball team will host the Woodland Cardinals.  Game time is 6 p.m. beginning with the junior varsity.  

The Homecoming Coronation will be held just before the start of the varsity game.  Come early and get a seat!  The Kickin' Cats Dance Team will perform at half-time of the varsity game and the DHS Jazz Cats will be on hand to play a few tunes throughout the evening!

The Lady Cats Basketball team chose Chaylea Mosby and Keirstan Keirsey as their candidates.

The Wrestling team chose Rylee Boyer and Erica Parris.

The Boys Basketball team chose Abby Dorton and Blair Rogers.

The Kickin' Cats Dance Team chose Olivia Lacy and Hannah Smith.

The DHS Cheerleading Squad chose Rae-Ann Riddle and Hallie Keathley.

Lauren Rascher has been Named to Fall 2018 Dean’s List
Murray State University has announced its Dean’s List recipients for the fall 2018 semester. The list recognizes the academic accomplishments of the University’s undergraduate students.

Lauren Rascher from Dexter has been recognized as a fall 2018 Dean’s List recipient. Lauren Rascher is the daughter of Ryan and Heather Rascher and is majoring in Pre Veterinary Medicine.

“We take great pride in our students’ academic achievements,” said Dr. Mark Arant, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “This recognition is a testament to their hard work, dedication and excellence during the fall 2018 semester.”

PBHS Named National Beta School of Distinction
National Beta has named Poplar Bluff High School a 2018/19 National School of Distinction for the chapter’s boost in membership and commitment toward academic achievement, exemplary character, and demonstrated leadership and service to others.
 
Membership has increased last year to present from 16 to 91 students, according to instructional coach Stephanie Kuper, who sponsors the organization along with guidance counselor Sara Holloway.
 
“This prestigious honor is a true indication of Poplar Bluff High School’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership development and commitment to celebrating their student’s achievements,” said National Beta’s Chief Executive Officer Bobby Hart in an issued statement.
 
Founded in 1934, National Beta is the largest independent, nonprofit, educational youth organization in America. The organization recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, and fosters leadership skills.
