Announcements -
Midquarter grade reports will be sent home on Wednesday, September 12th.
DHS Students - Tutoring for all core subjects will be available beginning on Tuesday, September 11th. Tutoring will be in the library Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am -8:10 am and 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
There will be a National Honor Society meeting for existing members only on Wednesday, September 12 during advisory.
Boys Basketball open gyms this week are today and Thursday from 3:00 -5:00 pm in the BEC.
Fall Homecoming will be Friday, September 21st. The Homecoming Dance will be immediately following the football game with Doniphan. Any student planning on bringing a guest that is not a current DHS student must sign up in the office and fill out the Dance Guest Permission Form.
Juniors, magazine sales end Wednesday, September 12th. See Miss Colley to pick up more order forms or referral cards and drop off orders.
FBLA Members - Krispy Kreme orders and money due today! and orders will be picked up after school to be delivered on Friday, the 14th from the BEC. Sign up to join FBLA on the Google Form and pay your $10 dues by the 20th. The Six Flags sign up form is also on the FBLA web page and your $40 for the ticket is due on the 20th.

Kindergarten Student Earns Positive Office Referral Award

Dexter, Missouri - Kindergarten student, Camden Christian, earned a Positive Office Referral this week for being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn at Southwest Elementary.
This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN.
Specifically, we are proud of Camden for always being a wonderful friend and lending a helping hand in Mrs. Cecil's classroom.
Each student received a certificate and a FREE Taco from Taco Bell.

2nd Grade Student Earns Positive Office Referral Award

Dexter, Missouri - Bronsen Menley earned a Positive Office Referral this week for being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn at Southwest Elementary.
We are proud of you for: While playing soccer in the gym, Bronsen saw other students falling down. He would go over to them and extend his hand to help them up.

There is a BETA Club Meeting in the library today during advisory.
Mid Quarter grade reports will go home on Wednesday, September 12th.
FCA dues are $15 and are due Friday, September 7th. Please pay Mrs. A. Simmons or Mr. Lovelady.
There will be a boys basketball open gym today after school in the BEC until 5:00 pm.
There is an Model UN Meeting on Thursday before school (7:50 am) in Mr. Morse’s room.

Kicking Cats Dance Team - The make up dance camp is Saturday September 8th from 10:00-12:00 at Melissa's school of dance in Sikeston. Please bring money. It is $18 for the day and $10 for everyday that you missed unless you have paid in full. If you are unable to attend please turn in your money into the office and notify Mrs. Monroe. It is very important that you be there.

There will be a meeting for students interested in joining Scholar Bowl during 8th hour on Sept 5th. Students who do participate in other extra-curricular activities can join as sponsors try to schedule matches to accommodate team members.
