
Dexter art student, Savannah Gourley, won Best of Show at the 18th Annual Juried Regional High School Art Exhibit at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
A black and white drawing entitle "Stare" was the top prize at the show. Gourley's art instructor at Dexter High School is Clinton Twaddell, shown in the photo with her.
Several students from around the area were also winners. The museum is open from noon - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Mixed Media: 1st place with "A Fairy House" Nick Robinson, Neelyville; 2nd place "Universal Kindness" Emilia Torres, Farmington; 3rd place "Madame" Isaiah Boyle of Poplar Bluff; Honorable Mention "Flower Power" Isaiah Boyle of Poplar Bluff.
3-Dimensional: 1st place "Fish" Kaleb Stone of Farmington; 2nd place "Ball in Cage" Landen Smith of Greenville; 3rd place "A Vase" Madeline Underwood of Malden; and Honorable Mention "Hippy Hippo" Gillian Cummins of Farmington.
