Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honors second grade students with Positive Office Referral certificates.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN.

Each student received a certificate and a FREE Taco from Taco Bell.

Local Students Awarded SEMO Scholarships

Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Several area students have earned scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Matthew Chesser of Dexter has received the Residence Life Leadership Award.  Chesser is the son of Scott and Cynthia Chesser and will graduate in May 2018.

Kaitlyn Fincher of Bloomfield has earned the Residence Life Leadership Award.  She is the daughter of Melinda Roberts of Bloomfield and will a May 2018 graduate.

Bryson Huggins of Dexter has received the Residence Life Leadership Award.  He is the son of Brian and Carrie Huggins and will be a May 2018 graduate.

Malia LeGrand of Oran has received the Regents Scholarship.  She is the daughter of Lary and Christy LeGrand and will be a 2018 graduate of Oran High School.

Tuesday, February 6th

FBLA - “Where are you going?” day - wear clothing from a college/university/school you would like to attend

DECA Districts at SEMO (select students)

Wrestling team at Kennett vs. Kennett and Cape Central, 5:00 pm.  Bus leaves at 3:00 pm.

Winter conditioning for CC/Track/Softball athletes, 3:30-4:40 pm

JV/V Boys Basketball vs. Bell City at BEC, 6:00 pm

Wednesday, February 7th

FBLA - “What do you want to be?” day - wear clothing for your career (or your future in retirement)

Mid-quarter Reports

Thursday, February 8th

FBLA - Hat Day - $1 donation to March of  Dimes for a sticker to wear on your hat

Band - TRCC Jazz Festival Rehearsal.  Bus leaves at 3 pm.  Jazz Band students dismissed at 2:45 pm.

Winter conditioning for CC/Track/Softball athletes, 3:30-4:40 pm

Scholar Bowl (JV) at Kennett, 4 pm.  Bus leaves at 2:30 pm.

JV/V Girls Basketball vs. Cape Central at home, 6:00 pm

Friday, February 9th

FBLA - Bearcat Day

Wrestling Team at Ste. Genevieve for District Tournament, Times TBD
