Addie Kruse, Retiring 2017 Winter Homecoming Queen Crowns New Court

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats held their annual Winter Homecoming Queen Coronation on Friday, January 19, 2018. 

Ten Candidates walked across the court hoping to become the Winter Homecoming Queen.  Each candidate will have a special article.

Crowning tonight's 2018 Winter Homecoming Queen was the 2017 Winter Homecoming Queen, Addie Kruse.

Addie is the 17-year-old daughter of Scott and Kerri Kruse.

Addie is a member of the Volleyball Team, Basketball Cheer, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Sr. Beta, Future Teachers of America, Tobacco Free Missouri Youth, Student Council, and is the Student Body Vice President.

Her future plans are to enjoy the rest of her senior year then continue her education at Arkansas State University.

Addie’s escort is Braxton Foster.

Braxton is the 17-year-old son of Steve and Heather Foster.

Bailee Williams is the tenth and final candidate.

Bailee is the 18-year-old daughter of Steve and Casey Williams.

She is a member of the Volleyball Team, Basketball Cheer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Teachers of America, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, Pep Club, Sr. Beta, and National Honor Society.

Her future plans are to attend Arkansas State University and major in nursing. 

She was nominated by the Basketball Cheerleading team.

Bailee’s escort is Dawson Kasting. 

Dawson is the 17-year-old son of Kelly and Chuck Kasting.

The ninth candidate is Hannah Thurmon.

Hannah is the 17-year-old daughter of Matt and Mindy Thurmon.

She is a member of the Girls Basketball Team, Volleyball Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Teachers of America, Future Business Leaders of America, Sr. Beta Club, and Pep Club.

Her future plans are to attend Three Rivers College to play basketball and major in nursing.

She was nominated by the Girls Basketball team.

Her escort is Clay Mullins. 

Clay is the 18-year-old son of Wes and Charlene Mullins.

Natalie Sitze is the eighth candidate.

She was nominated by the Boys’ Basketball team.

Natalie is the 16-year-old daughter of Eric and Delisa Sitze.

She is a member of Girls’ Basketball Team, Volleyball Team, choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, FCCLA, Pep Club, Sr. Beta Club, and Student Council.

Her future plans are to attend a four-year university. 

Her escort is Nate Gargas. 

Nate is the 17-year-old son of Ed and Tina Gargas.

Meg Simmons is the seventh candidate.

Meg is the 17-year-old daughter of Jonathan and Lara Simmons.

Meg is a member of the DHS Kickin’ Cats, Senior Beta, FTA, FCA, Honors Choir, Chamber Choir, All District Choir, All State Choir, Top 10%, National Honor Society, Showstoppers of SEMO, Dexter
Rotary Interact Club, and Beta Show Choir.

Her future plans are to attend Harding University where she will major in nursing and minor in music. She hopes to later attend PA school. 

She was nominated by the Dance team.

Her escort tonight is Alan Pippins. 

Alan is the 18-year-old son of Greg and Missy Pippins.
