2018 DHS Winter Homecoming Candidate Maci McBride

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats held their annual Winter Homecoming Queen Coronation on Friday, January 19, 2018. 

Ten Candidates walked across the court hoping to become the Winter Homecoming Queen.  Each candidate will have a special article.

Maci McBride is our fifth candidate.

Maci is the 16 year-old daughter of Aaron and Misti McBride.

She is a member of the Girls’ Basketball Team, FCCLA, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sr. Beta, Yearbook, Student Council, and Pep Club.

Her future plans are to attend a Christian university under the Army ROTC and major in pre-dentistry to later pursue a career in orthodontics.

She was nominated by the Girls’ Basketball team.

Her escort is Haden Hillis. 

Haden is the 16-year-old son of Darren and Tory Hillis.

The fourth candidate is Maycie Martin.

Maycie is the 17-year-old daughter of Mike and Amber Martin.

She is a member of Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Sr. Beta, FCCLA, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Art Club.

Her future plan is to attend a 4-year university and major in marketing. 

She was nominated by the Boys’ Basketball team.

Her escort tonight is Joe Rice. 

Joe is the 17-year-old son of Loyd and Heather Rice.

The third candidate is Britney Hubbard.

Britney is the 17-year-old daughter of Denny and Michelle Hubbard.

She is a member of Football Cheer, Basketball Cheer, FCCLA, and DECA.

Her future plans are to obtain a real estate license, cheer at Three Rivers College, and major in business administration.

She was nominated by the Basketball Cheerleading Team.

Her escort tonight is Garrett Henson. 

Garrett is the 16-year-old son of Dennis and Elizabeth Henson.

She is a member of Varsity Volleyball Team, Softball Team, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sr. Beta, Top 10%, Scholar Bowl, and is the President of FCCLA.

Her future plans are to attend a four-year university. 

She was nominated by the Wrestling team.

Escorting Kelby tonight is Seth Rogers. 

Seth is the 16-year-old son of Brian and Brandy Rogers.

The first Homecoming Queen candidate is Michaela Gard. 

Michaela is the 18-year-old daughter of Cammy Gard and Paul and Lisa Gard.

She is a member of Football Cheer, Kickin’ Cats Dance Team, Track and Field Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Teachers of America, FCCLA, Future Business Leaders of America, Sr. Beta, and Student Council. 

Her future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in elementary education. 

She was nominated by the Dance team.

Her escort tonight is Ben Sindle. 

Ben is the 18-year-old son of Darrell Sindle and Holly and Chris Bowman.
