Bloomfield, Missouri - The 3rd Annual Bloomfield Wildcat R-14 Foundation Alumni Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, October 8, 2016 with a Shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. at the Crowley Ridge Country Club in Bloomfield.
The 4-person scramble golf tournament is open to everyone and you do NOT have to be an Alumni to play! The proceeds will go towards funding projects sponsored by the Foundation.
The most recent project funded by the Foundation was the installation of sound panels in the gym. The Foundation also awards the Tommy C. Coggins, Jr. Scholarship each year.
Lunch will be served on the course. Cost is $50 per person or $200 per team. Includes 18 holes of golf and lunch.

Dexter, Missouri - Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a MOVIE Night at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter on Wednesday, September 28th beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend! Bring your friends, parents, sibling, and grandparents! Enjoy a night of good fellowship and one great movie: Woodlawn.

Woodlawn is about Tony Nathan, a gifted high school football player, and other black students desegregate Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama in 1973. As cross burnings and riots erupt in the city, Tandy Gerelds, the Woodlawn Colonels football coach, struggles to ease racial tensions between his players.
It's only when Gerelds allows Hank, an outsider, to speak to his team that real change begins. Hank, who has been radically affected by the message of hope and love he experienced at a Christian revival meeting, tells the players a "better way" is possible through following Jesus. More than 40 players, nearly the entire team, black and white, give their lives over to Jesus Christ and the spiritual change has a profound effect on the coach, the school and the community. Excellent movie for everyone to watch.

Dexter, Missouri - Larry White, Dexter Elks Lodge member, presented certificates and $50 checks for Savings Bonds to Bell City High School seniors McKayla Hunt and Cole Nichols.
McKayla is the daughter of Kevin and Stacey Hunt
Cole is the son of Scott and Rhonda Nichols.
Both are competing with honorees from the other Stoddard County schools for the Dexter Elks Students of the year.
Both students, along with their parents and high school counselor, Jessica Cloninger, will be honored with a banquet at the Dexter Elks Lodge later in the spring of 2017 prior to graduation. The Elks Students of the Year will be announced at that spring banquet.
