Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honors Lucy Thorton and Meredith Nea with the Positive Office Referral certificate.

This award is presented to students who consistently show the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN at Southwest Elementary in Dexter.

Lucy Thorton is in the 2nd Grade classroom of Mrs. Nelson.


"Lucy is so kind hearted."

Meredith Nea is also in the 2nd Grade classroom of Mrs. Nelson

"Meredith is always so kind to everyone  and is a great helper in class."

Kindergarten Students Earn Positive Office Referral Certificates

Gavin Thompson is in the Kindergarten classroom of Mrs. Christian.

"Gavin comes in everyday is and is a very hard worker!  He also shows great behavior and leadership!!"

Annslee Ackman is in the Kindergarten classroom of Mrs. McLaughlin.

"Annslee shows the 3R's on a daily basis.  Annslee has clipped up to RED 10 times this year.  She is kind to all classmates.  Annslee respects her teacher.  Annslee is always ready to learn.  I am so proud of Annslee."

Michael Webb is in the Kindergarten classroom of Mrs. McLaughlin.

"Michael is so sweet!!  He is kind to his classmates and very respectful to his teacher and all staff.  Michael is always ready to learn.  He makes good grades.  Michael has clipped up 8 times this year!!"

First Graders Earn 3Rs at Southwest Elementary

Dexter, Missouri - The first grade classroom of Mrs. Putnam earned the Southwest Elementary Positive Behavioral Support Reward Flag.

School Wide Positive Behavioral Support (SWPBS) award is presented at the start of each month at Southwest Elementary.  One classroom in each grade is recognized for exhibiting the high character with regard to observing the school's 3R's.

The 3R's stand for being Respectful, Ready to Learn and Responsible.  The class with the highest attendance average, combined with the fewest disciplinary measures and general good character are awarded a 3R red flag to be posted in their classroom for the next month.  The students are also awarded "superhero" capes to wear and parade around the gym before returning to class.

8th Grade Honor Roll at T.S. Hill Middle School

Dexter, Missouri -T.S. Hill Middle School announced their 3rd Quarter Honor Roll students.  Students must maintain a B average to be on the Honor Roll each quarter.

Making the honor roll is not as easy as one might think.  Middle School students who are high achievers acquire and develop excellent study habits and skills, especially in time management.  To manage time efficiently, students use a student calendar or planner. 

Successful, lifelong learners set aside a time and a space every day to do their homework. Student who can manage their daily workload have a better chance of attaining academic success.

Congratulations to every 8th grader who made the honor roll for the 3rd quarter of the 2015 - 2016 school year.
