April Berry's Kindergarten Class Earn 3R's Flag

School Wide Positive Behavioral Support (SWPBS) award is presented at the start of each month at Southwest Elementary. One classroom in each grade is recognized for exhibiting the high character with regard to observing the school's 3R's.
The 3R's stand for being Respectful, Ready to Learn and Responsible. The class with the highest attendance average, combined with the fewest disciplinary measures and general good character are awarded a 3R red flag to be posted in their classroom for the next month. The students are also awarded "superhero" capes to wear and parade around the gym before returning to class.

Second Graders Earn 3R's Flag

College Financial Aid Workshop Offered

A representative from Southeast Missouri State University will be available to explain the general financial aid process. This is highly recommended for all students regardless of where they will be attending college. The process for filing for FAFSA is the same.
The workshop will be held in the Dexter High School library.

DHS Senior - Addison Moore

Dexter, Missouri - Friday, October 16, 2015 was SENIOR Night at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter. Twenty-five DHS seniors were honored during the pre-game festivities for football, girls tennis, cross country, football cheer, and band.
Addison Moore is the son of Janna and Steve Moore.
He has been a member of the DHS Marching Band all four years of high school. He is also been on the Basketball and Tennis teams all four years and football his senior year.
Addison is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Dexter Honor Society.
He plans to attend college after graduating and is undecided on a major field of study.
Congratulations Addison!

DHS Senior - Gina Magarian

Gina Magarian is the daughter of Michael Magarian and Nichole Leathers.
She has been a member of the DHS Marching Band for all four years of high school and the Jazz Cats all four years of high school.
Gina is a member of Student Council, Future Teachers of America, and is on the Scholar Bowl Team.
She has been a member of the All-District Jazz Band, 2nd Team All-District Band and received Outstanding Soloist Award at the Missouri State Solos and Ensemble Jazz Competition.
Her plans are to attend Arkansas State University where she will decide on a field of study.
