Dexter, Missouri - Jessica Gott, daughter of Steve and Carmon Gott of Dexter was presented a $500.00 scholarship from the Ray Family Scholarship Fund.

Presenting the check was Ms. Elsie Ray Keller of Dexter. 

The scholarship was set up by the Pope family in memory of their mother Ethyle Ray Enderle who was a member of the Sugar Tree General Baptist Church of years past.

Jessica is the granddaughter of Bob and Frankie Gosnell of Dexter, Carol Isnor of Wappapello, the late Priscilla Gott of Dexter.

Jessica graduated Dexter High School in December and is pursuing an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology at Three Rivers College.  She also made the Spring Dean's List at Three Rivers!

Dexter, Missouri - Cody Jinkerson, T.S. Hill Middle School Band Director, has announced the 2015 Middle School Marching Band Camp schedule.

Mark your calendars 6th grade band students!!  Beginning Monday, July 20th - Friday, July 24th BEGINNING BAND CAMP!!

Tuba and All Saxophones will meet from 8:30 a.m. - 9:20 a.m.  Trumpet and Flute players will meet from 9:30 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.  Percussion and Clarinets will meet from 10:30 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.  Trombone and Bassoons will meet from 1:00 p.m. - 1:50 p.m.  French Horns and Baritones will meet from 2:00 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.

A Parent Orientation Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21st and Thursday, July 23rd at 6:30 p.m.  Parents or guardians are request to attend ONE of these meetings, not both.

Percussion Camp for 7^th and 8^th grade band students will be held on Monday, July 20^th – Friday, July 24^th from 3:20 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. 

All 7^th and 8^th grade band students should attend Middle School Marching Band Camp on Monday, August 3^rd from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The students will work on music and marching and should meet at the T.S. Hill Middle School band room.

Dexter, Missouri - The 2015-2016 school season is just around the corner and just as the football prepares for their upcoming season so much the Dexter Marching Band.

Mr. Scott Rybolt, High School Band Director, has scheduled the Marching Bearcats Band Camp.

On Monday, July 20th - Friday, July 24th the high school Color Guard and Drum Line will have their camp prior to the regular Marching Band Camp.

Beginning on Monday, August 3^rd Freshman and drum Majors will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday, August 4^th – Friday, August 5^th all high school marching band members will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Please bring hats, wear shorts, light colored shirts, tennis shoes (NO SANDALS) for morning rehearsals.  You may also wear sunglasses.  Due to the hot weather you may want to bring water bottles as well and drink plenty of water (NOT SODA).

On Friday, August 7^th at 6:00 p.m. the high school will perform for parents, friends and family at the practice field behind the tennis courts.  This is a culmination of the work they have put forth over the week of band camp.

Student should wear khaki shorts and white t-shirts for the performance on Friday evening.  Also this is a good time to sign up for informational emails and volunteer for band related activities.  You can also follow the DHS Band on Facebook by clicking HERE.

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter Public Schools will host their annual Registration Day on Tuesday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Bearcat Event Center for grades kindergarten - 12th grade.

First day of classes are slated for Thursday, August 13th and they will dismiss at 1:00 p.m.  Kindergarten classes will begin on Friday, August 14th.

Central Elementary has already made available the 2015-2016 School Supply List for third, fourth, and fifth grade students.
