DHS Gets A Gym Floor Makeover
Dexter Missouri - As you pass by Dexter Senior High lately, you will notice a large trash container placed in the parking lot near the gymnasium.  Many times, this is a sure indicator that a renovation is taking place.

If you had that thought, you would be correct.  After over 40 years, the old gym floor is being replaced completely all the way down to the sub-flooring.  The project is being done by a St. Louis contractor and appears that they are near 50% complete.

"This was the original flooring and was really tough to remove," commented one of the workers.

"We are really excited to get a new floor at the High School," noted High School Principal, Dan Pollock.  "Gym space is a premium in the District so this renovation will be very helpful to our programs."

The has been discussion among the coaches and administrators for a throwback game to be held in the High School gym during the 2015-2016 winter sports season.
