Dexter, Missouri -
Central and Southwest Elementary schools in Dexter have received grants from Ronald McDonald House Charities to support their Accelerated Reader programs.

The funds will be used to provide motivational prizes for students as they work to increase their reading comprehension and proficiency.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities supports non-profit children's programs in the areas of education, health and social well-being, and the cultural arts. The local chapter awarded over $250,000 in grants to projects in the tri-state area in 2012.

Shown in the photo are:  April Aldridge, Central Elementary, Richard Hickson, McDonalds' representative and Katy Tarbutton, Southwest Elementary.

The Central and Southwest schools received $4,050.00.
Congratulations!
